Job summary

Egis, via Omnia Projects, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead major EHV substation projects across 11kV–132kV networks in the UK. You will manage feasibility, design development, construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating design, procurement and testing with a focus on safety and quality.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective delivery across life-cycle stages while maintaining high standards and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in major infrastructure projects.
• Significant experience delivering projects within electricity transmission and distribution networks or comparable electrical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of EHV substation projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and resource requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety legislation and quality expectations.
• Act as the key interface with customers, delivery partners and contractors.
