Job summary

The Adecco Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater, with a planned transition to Sizewell C from January 2027. The role is Inside IR35, umbrella, initial six months with a view to a longer assignment.

You will lead major electrical packages from concept through handover, develop execution strategies, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage client relationships while tracking budget and schedule and promoting nuclear safety culture.

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience delivering electrical projects in regulated sectors such as infrastructure, energy or nuclear.
• Proven track record from design through handover with leadership and commercial awareness.
• Strong planning, coordination, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major electrical packages from concept to handover with compliance.
• Develop and implement package execution strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project delivery and set priorities.
• Serve as principal client and stakeholder contact with strong relationship building.
• Monitor performance against budget, programme and commercial targets while managing risks.
• Promote Zero Harm and Nuclear Safety culture in line with regulations.

Our client, a leading organisation in the Infrastructure, Energy, and Nuclear sectors, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their team for a prestigious project at Hinkley Point C. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major electrical packages from concept through to handover, ensuring seamless execution and compliance.
• Develop and implement package execution strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project delivery, establishing priorities that align with broader programme objectives.
• Serve as the principal point of contact for clients and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring effective communication.

• Champion a strong Zero Harm and Nuclear Safety Culture, promoting compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.

What Our Client Is Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess

• A degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• Significant experience in delivering electrical projects within highly regulated sectors such as infrastructure, energy, or nuclear.
• A proven track record of managing projects from design through to handover, demonstrating strong leadership and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in project coordination, stakeholder management, and client-facing roles, with a solid understanding of quality assurance and compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experiences will be advantageous

• Experience within Nuclear New Build or similar environments.
• Knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance requirements and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with safety-critical and nuclear-grade equipment and systems.
• APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent Project Management qualification is desirable.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards professional accreditation.
