Emtec Group in Uddingston is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to lead our electrical operations division and drive delivery of contracted works. You will mentor the team, manage client relationships and support business growth while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership in electrical utilities, commercial awareness, and collaboration with the commercial team to improve profitability. Renewable energy exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in electrical utilities with senior operational leadership.
• Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure projects and standards.
• Experience leading and developing operational teams and contractors.
• Strong commercial awareness with focus on profitability and risk.
• Confident in building relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience reviewing tenders and ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and proactive safety-first approach.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in renewable energy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of electrical projects.
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to the operations team.
• Develop relationships with existing and potential clients to support business growth.
• Review tenders to ensure proposals are compliant and meet client requirements.
• Ensure constructed assets comply with policies, procedures and technical standards.
• Provide technical and procedural guidance to clients, contractors and project teams.
• Produce clear work instructions and programmes covering technical and safety requirements.
• Work closely with the commercial team to maximise project performance and profitability.
• Maintain strong communication with customers, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee the effective management of street works activities.
• Provide regular project reports and programme updates.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
