Job summary

Talentometry is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic system integration team. You will design and build bespoke control systems and instrument racks for varied industries, delivering turnkey solutions with a focus on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics, extensive EPLAN experience, and ability to travel up to 50% for on-site work; you will collaborate with software, systems, and project

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics.
Knowledge of CE/UKCA marking and safety directives (IEC 60204, BS EN 61010, BS EN 61508) is beneficial.
Design electrical and electronic systems; hands-on implementation.
Extensive experience with EPLAN (or AutoCAD Electrical / SolidWorks Electrical).
Willingness to travel up to 50% and perform on-site installation, debugging, commissioning.
Familiar with Siemens, Allen-Bradley or NI hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

Accurately capture and develop electrical designs using EPLAN in a timely manner.
Select the correct control and measurement hardware based on customer specs.
Build, test, and commission electrical systems in workshop and on-site.
Provide guidance on installation and configuration of software and hardware.
Generate robust technical documentation, test plans, commissioning documents, and packs.
Ensure designs meet IEC, ATEX, machinery safety, and EMC requirements.
Troubleshoot software/hardware issues and resolve incompatibilities.
Collaborate with BD to develop proofs of concept and technical quotations.
