Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead detailed electrical tenders for major London projects. The role focuses on tender strategy, cost planning and coordinating with design and commercial teams to win work.

You will manage multiple tenders, review drawings and specifications, and mentor junior estimators within a well-resourced pre-construction function.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as an Electrical Estimator within an M&E contractor or specialist subcontractor.
• Experience managing large and technically complex electrical tenders.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and installation methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of estimating, procurement and subcontractor engagement.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project risks and opportunities.
• Confident negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design teams to assess buildability and value engineering opportunities.
• Provide commercial and technical input into tender strategies.
• Present estimates and tender proposals to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Support successful project handovers from pre-construction into delivery.
• Mentor and support junior estimators within the team.

About the Role
