This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of electrical and EICA design delivery across complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, while developing your technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working alongside experienced engineers, technical specialists and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions, supporting project delivery and contributing to the continued growth of our Electrical Engineering capability across the North West.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support and lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design services across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects. Working across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning, you will help deliver safe, sustainable and technically robust solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Producing and reviewing key technical deliverables, including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, technical specifications and engineering reports.
  • Supporting design reviews, technical workshops and collaboration with clients, contractors and supply chain partners.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers within the team.
  • Ensuring engineering solutions meet client requirements, industry standards and project objectives.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, discipline leads and stakeholders to help deliver successful project outcomes while continuing to build your own technical and leadership capability.

YOUR IMPACT

Your expertise will contribute directly to the delivery of critical water infrastructure that supports communities across the UK. Through your engineering input, you will help clients improve resilience, enhance operational performance and deliver more sustainable solutions in response to growing environmental and regulatory challenges.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to influence project outcomes, strengthen client relationships and support the development of future engineering talent. Your work will help shape infrastructure that protects resources, supports communities and delivers long-term value.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who is ready to take on greater technical responsibility and contribute to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

You will have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, standards and technical documentation.
  • Experience producing and reviewing technical outputs such as Single Line Diagrams, specifications and design reports.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior engineers.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the UK water sector.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
  • Experience with HAZOPs, technical workshops or design reviews.
