Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Water team in Manchester or Warrington. You will support electrical and EICA design for water and wastewater projects, working with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities include feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design and construction support; producing technical documentation; and collaborating across disciplines to meet client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within electrical engineering design or a related technical environment.
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and design processes.

About the role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical and EICA design services across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working closely with senior engineers, Project Managers and other technical disciplines, you will contribute to the development of safe, sustainable and effective engineering solutions.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer who is keen to develop their technical skills and contribute to innovative infrastructure projects.

You will have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience within electrical engineering design or a related technical environment.
• An understanding of electrical engineering principles and design processes.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive approach to learning, development and delivering high‑quality engineering solutions.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience within the water, utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of EICA engineering principles.
• Experience producing technical documentation, drawings or specifications.
• Working towards professional registration with a relevant institution.
