Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver electrical and EICA designs for Scotland's water projects, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with hybrid working. You will own design packages from concept to construction, ensuring quality, compliance, and technical accuracy across treatment works and pumping stations.

You will develop deliverables such as SLDs, cable/network diagrams, specs, and control philosophies, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartered status.
• Experience delivering electrical/EICA design in water/utilities sectors.
• Ability to manage technical design packages across multidisciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience mentoring graduate/junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical and EICA designs from concept to construction support.
• Develop deliverables: Single Line Diagrams, Cable Diagrams, Network Diagrams, specifications, control philosophies.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors and design teams.
• Guide early-career engineers and promote best practices in Electrical Engineering.
• Support Scottish Water infrastructure projects and ensure design quality and compliance.
