Etex in Bristol is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support electrical maintenance, reliability, and performance across the site. You will lead fault-finding, support preventive maintenance, and guide reliability improvements in collaboration with maintenance, production and engineering teams.

As the electrical SME, you will manage complex investigations, coordinate contractors when needed, and ensure safe, compliant practices while driving asset availability and uptime across the plant.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in electrical maintenance or reliability within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of motors, drives, switchgear, PLCs and power distribution.
• Proven advanced fault-finding and diagnostics experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and reliability-centred maintenance.
• Understanding of condition-based monitoring and asset reliability principles.
• Experience supporting shutdown planning and execution.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills to coach technicians.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support for electrical maintenance across the site.
• Lead complex fault-finding and root cause investigations to minimise downtime.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure safety and high standards in electrical tasks.
• Support site shutdowns, maintenance activities and equipment upgrades.
• Assist in developing reliability strategies for electrical assets.
• Analyse condition monitoring data to identify improvements.
• Contribute to reliability, efficiency and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with production to maximise equipment availability.
• Coordinate specialist electrical contractors when needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and site standards.
