Job summary

Etex in Bristol is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Electrical Engineer to ensure the reliability of site electrical equipment and systems. You will deliver PM tasks on time, support shutdowns, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Operations and Contractors.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, fault finding, motors, drives and PLCs, plus experience with electrical isolation and permit-to-work processes. The company offers development and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting performing preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge of PM best practices and shutdown planning.
• Experience with electrical safety standards and permit-to-work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventative maintenance (PM) tasks are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
• Play a key role in regular shutdowns, working closely with the Maintenance Team Engineer and Maintenance Operations Manager.
• Investigate CBM and electrical fault findings, and plan/optimise shutdown activities with the Senior Electrical Engineer.
• Take responsibility for the upkeep, performance and reliability of electrical equipment (motors, drives, switchgear, control panels).
• Ensure reliability strategies and maintenance plans are implemented and maintained.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to electrical performance and energy efficiency.
