Job summary

NES Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major oil and gas facility in Dorset.

You will provide technical leadership across electrical maintenance, asset reliability, engineering modifications and continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves working with maintenance technicians, contractors and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure electrical asset integrity, equipment performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in oil, gas, petrochemical or similar hazardous environments.
Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, protection, switching operations and fault levels.
Experience with electrical maintenance, reliability improvements and plant modifications.
Understanding of process safety principles and engineering compliance.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for electrical plant breakdowns and fault investigations.
Develop, review and optimise preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance.
Support HV/LV distribution systems, motors, VSDs, UPS and related equipment.
Plan and deliver electrical engineering projects and minor plant modifications.
Carry out electrical calculations, assessments and design reviews.
Lead electrical incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ATEX and hazardous area classifications.
Participate in HAZOP, LOPA and risk assessments as required.
Review electrical drawings, specifications and procurement needs.
Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors for safe execution.
Support regulatory compliance and development of electrical technicians.
