Job summary

Morson Group seeks Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers to support the GDA process in the UK. Roles are based in Warrington with hybrid working (2 days in office) and some travel to Manchester, Liverpool and the US.

BPSS clearance is required; British citizenship and UK residence in the last 5 years are mandatory. The contract is initially 12 months for 3-year projects, with rates starting from £55ph inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience with UK GDA and Nuclear licensing phases as workstream lead or senior SME.
• Proficient at chairing level 4 meetings with nuclear regulators in RNIP.
• Safety, environmental substantiation of electrical equipment design (safety and non-safety).
• Experience addressing 60Hz designs in a 50Hz market and creating transition plans.
• Delivery of equipment qualification.
• Experience with a wide range of electrical codes and standards.
• Interface with Instrumentation and Control.
• Delivery of Intelligent Customer core capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering workstreams in GDA and licensing phases.
• Chair level 4 meetings with regulators and coordinate RNIP activities.
• Develop strategies and designs for 60/50 Hz transition from concept to detailed design.
• Ensure compliance with safety, QA and ALARP requirements.
• Coordinate interface with Instrumentation & Control teams.
• Deliver equipment qualification milestones.
• Support cross-site collaboration and potential travel to the US.
