Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy business in the UK. The role focuses on delivering electrical engineering solutions for nuclear and renewable projects, with emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance.

You will work with Principal Engineers and Managers to enable successful project delivery across multiple sites. Based in one of our UK offices, you’ll lead design development, risk management and client interaction, with flexibility for hybrid working patterns

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex electrical engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Awareness of civil nuclear plant systems and associated design guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Electrical designs across the full project lifecycle from bid to commissioning.
• Prepare technical documentation and design justifications for safety-critical systems.
• Interface with clients, regulators and project stakeholders on technical matters.
• Support requirements capture and systems engineering for new architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and maintain client relationships.
