Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Building Services team in St Albans. This role involves delivering electrical design solutions across building services projects, developing calculations, specs and technical docs, and producing drawings in Revit.

The position offers hybrid working and potential overseas travel, with opportunities to lead and mentor other engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong background in building services electrical engineering.
• Experience using industry-standard design and calculation software.
• Willing and eligible to undergo the security clearance process; sole British nationals with 10 years UK residency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical engineering design solutions across building services projects.
• Develop electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Produce and review electrical drawings and models using Revit.
• Undertake lighting design and calculations using DIALux.
• Carry out cable sizing and electrical calculations using ElectricalOM / Amtech.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical input throughout the design and project lifecycle.
• Support the delivery of high-quality, compliant and practical engineering solutions.
• Depending on experience, take responsibility for elements of project delivery and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Support projects that may involve overseas travel and international assignments.
