Job summary

RGB seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Buckingham office, operating on a hybrid basis. This permanent post sits within an established building services consultancy, paying £45,000 to £65,000 plus benefits including Bupa healthcare.

The successful candidate will lead electrical design across MEP schemes, largely for prestigious London developments. Applicants should hold solid building services design experience, with proficiency in relevant software and awareness of current regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Around 5+ years’ consultancy experience within building services.
• Strong understanding of UK regulations and industry standards.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to completion.
• Working knowledge of software such as Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• UK Driving Licence and car.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design on a variety of projects.
• Produce detailed design calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms and associated building services systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, clients and contractors.
• Attend project and client meetings throughout all RIBA stages.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Assist with project planning and technical review processes.
