National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking an experienced engineering professional to join our Engineering Centre of Excellence as a Subject Matter Expert. You will provide technical leadership, oversight, and guidance across a portfolio of major capital projects, ensuring high-quality engineering solutions and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with strong engineering fundamentals and regulatory awareness.
• Experience in delivering capital projects within a regulated energy environment.
• Knowledge of electrical LV and HV systems and associated standards.
• Familiar with Safety by Design, CDM Regulations, and quality requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership and oversight across major capital projects.
• Drive design optimisation, standardisation and innovation to improve value and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support internal and external design teams and manage technical queries and deviations.
• Contribute to risk management, Lessons Learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
