Job summary

Black & White Engineering is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead complex MEP design projects from concept through delivery. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, interact with clients, and contribute to business development while mentoring engineers to build the next generation of talent.

The role offers hybrid working in Newcastle, with opportunities for leadership and growth within a multi-award-winning engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline.
Significant experience delivering complex MEP design projects.
Strong knowledge of codes, standards, regulations and best practice.
Experience using Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD or similar.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate complex technical information.
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to project delivery.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, schedules and change control.
Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering projects from design through to delivery.
Provide mentoring and development for team members.
Engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams to build trusted relationships.
Contribute to business development and identify growth opportunities.
Drive technical excellence and ensure delivery aligned with client requirements.
