The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineeringwill provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’sstate-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have beenawarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical,Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.

This role will be based on site near Southwark 3 or 4 days aweek.

The vacancy is working as part of a JV forAnthro to support the HS2 Old Oak Common station project where we aremanaging the MEPHFC package of work.

This rolewill be based on site in London 3 days a week.

As a SeniorElectrical Engineer with a Building Services background. You will be asenior member of the Rail team and will be required to support theAssociate Director, who leads the MEPHFC team. You will lead andmanage other engineers and be responsible for the delivery ofelectrical designs. We are looking for someone who’s dedicated,diligent, and driven, and will take this challenge head on, being animportant part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design from feasibility up to As Built
  • Carrying out design reviews and working to design assuranceprocesses
  • Helping to grow the team and developing itstechnical capability
  • Lead & manage a small team of engineers
  • Nurture a get it right first time culture within the team
  • Produce and issue progress reports
  • Prepare & conductpresentations to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders etc.

Profile:

  • Degree inElectrical Engineering
  • Member of an engineering institute andhas Engineering Council Professional Registration
  • At least 10years’ experience in the railway industry
  • Experience in railstation electrical services design and coordination
  • Comprehensive knowledge of British Standards and Regulations,and Rail Standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL
  • Abilityto deliver work to a programme and budget
  • Expert communication, organisation, andcollaboration abilities
  • Proficient at leading meetings andpresenting to clients, stakeholders, colleagues, subcontractors,suppliers etc.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systemsfrom a technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintenanceperspective
  • Knowledge of engineering software tools includingTrimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux
  • Knowledge ofprocurement activities and lead times
