Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects in Leeds and surrounding areas. You will work across commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and other sectors.

You’ll coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, produce calculations and technical reports, and manage multiple projects from concept to completion in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in an MEP/Building Services Consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.

We're working with a growing MEP Building Services Consultancy in Leeds looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Role

You'll lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing electrical building services systems including power, lighting, fire alarms, data and security systems.
• Producing calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Attending client and site meetings.
• Coordinating with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Managing multiple projects from concept through to completion.

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Previous experience within an MEP/Building Services Consultancy.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Working towards Chartership or already Chartered would be beneficial.
