Job summary

Park Recruit is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Blyth, UK. The role focuses on coordinating electrical engineering activities on site, liaising with subcontractors, project management and technical teams to deliver works safely, efficiently and to programme.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years in an M&E contracting environment, with strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role within an M&E contracting environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and work effectively within a large project team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee electrical engineering works on site across the project.
• Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications and installations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to electrical subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, safety and programme requirements are met.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout construction.
• Manage technical documentation, testing records and handover packs.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, health & safety requirements and quality procedures.

The Role
