Responsibilities

• Create, develop and maintain electrical designs with focus on 3-phase UPS and power converters.
• Review and ensure quality of electrical hardware design.
• Support or build engineering hardware prototypes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manufacturing to optimize for cost, quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews and write design specifications.
• Specify and qualify electrical components such as breakers, fuses, switches and SCRs.
• Investigate field issues and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Draw electrical main circuit diagrams and power cables for UPS/converters.

Job description

We are looking for a enior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer and help create innovative hardware solutions to join our R&D team. You will design, develop, and maintain electrical designs with special focus on 3 phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and power converters as assigned. You will join a dynamic and agile team, where we work passionately with product development and maintenance/sustaining end to end activities.

Responsibilities

• Do specifications, qualification, including laboratory preparation, testing, troubleshooting, reporting;
• Review and ensure the quality of electrical hardware design;
• Support or build engineering hardware prototypes (electrical design/parts);
• Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders and factories assembly engineers to optimize the design for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency;
• Participate in design reviews, ensure Electrical hardware design with standard compliance, and write design specifications;
• Specify and qualify new or alternative electrical components (breakers, fuses, contactors, switches, overvoltage protective devices, power cables, Silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR));
• When assigned, evaluate field failure data, investigate to find root causes and provide effective solutions when related to electrical components;
• Specify and draw power cable and cable harness for UPS or power converters.
• Draw electrical main circuit diagrams;
• Propose and/or contribute to new and innovative ideas to rapidly evolving business development activities;
• Support, advice, train, coach other team members with regard to technical subject matters;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
