Job summary

DataX Connect in London or Berkshire is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join a design-focused team specialising in UPS and generator projects for critical power environments.

You will manage electrical packages from initial handover through to completion, produce design documentation and technical submissions, and support Factory Witness Tests across the UK and Europe. The role offers hybrid work with site involvement as required.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background with design experience.
• Experience designing or specifying generator and UPS systems.
• Experience with critical power environments such as data centres.
• Ability to interpret project specifications and develop compliant solutions.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Electrical Project Engineer | Critical Power | London or Berkshire

I’m currently working with a leading specialist in critical power and mission-critical infrastructure who are looking to add an Electrical Project Engineer to their engineering team.

This is a design-focused position, working across UPS and generator projects with responsibility for the electrical packages from initial project handover through to completion.

The role:

• Design and specify electrical packages for UPS and generator systems
• Provide technical support throughout the engineering and project lifecycle
• Produce electrical design documentation, technical submissions, scopes of work and studies
• Develop method statements, procedures, risk assessments and test documentation
• Work closely with internal engineering and project teams
• Attend Factory Witness Tests for generators and control systems in the UK and Europe
• Support the production of O&M and project documentation

I’m looking for someone with:

• A strong electrical engineering / electrical design background
• Experience designing or specifying generator and/or UPS systems
• Experience working with electrical packages within critical power, data centres, mission-critical or similar environments
• The ability to interpret project specifications and develop compliant technical solutions
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills

Location: London or Berkshire

Hybrid role with project/site involvement as required
