Job Title: Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer
My client in the Cardiff area is seeking a Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer due to company expansion.

Responsibilities
- Control the design, development, and evaluation of new models from concept to mass production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and collaboration with R&D teams.
- Critically evaluate design proposals and participate in peer review meetings.
- Develop test procedures to validate designs, study EMC & Signal Integrity issues, and identify/eliminate design problems early.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety directives and investigate complex issues to support improvements.
- Lead and support engineering teams, ensuring development builds meet schedules.
- Support project planning, documentation, and process improvements.
- Mentor R&D team members and contribute to technical and strategic meetings.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline, with 5+ years industry experience, or 10+ years relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in electrical and EMC testing, fault finding, PCB design (preferably Zuken CR5000), and circuit simulation.
- Proficiency in designing electronics from concept to production, including dealing with subcontractors.
- Knowledge of EMC / ESD design, project management, soldering, and electronic testing tools.
- Strong circuit theory knowledge, team leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Desirable: experience with my client's home appliance products.
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks; valid driving license; willingness to travel internationally; valid passport.
