Job summary

VanRath is delighted to assist in recruiting an experienced Branch Manager (Electrical Distribution) to lead a busy Omagh branch. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to drive performance, strengthen customer relationships and guide a high-performing team within a growing business.

The ideal candidate will have a proven electrical wholesale background, strong business development skills and the ability to deliver profitable growth while maintaining excellent service

Qualifications

• Proven track record in electrical wholesale industry.
• Management experience in a branch/sales office.
• Strong technical grounding in electrical products and solutions.
• Success in business development and growing sales revenue.
• Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness of branch profitability and performance management.
• MS Office proficiency; ERP experience such as Sage 200 is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of day-to-day branch running and performance.
• Shape and deliver growth plans to lift revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Win new business across industrial, commercial and contractor markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with major contractors, consultants, end users and key accounts.
• Act as senior contact for key customers and ensure first-class service delivery.
• Lead engagement with clients through on-site visits and strategic sales activity.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and maximize value from existing accounts.
• Oversee quotations, tenders, project inquiries and larger opportunities.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance on electrical products and solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to meet customer requirements and create opportunities.
• Lead and develop branch team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Recruit, coach, and conduct regular performance reviews with development plans.
• Track KPIs, profitability, and performance metrics with action plans for improvement.
• Control budgets, costs, stock levels, and overall financial performance.
• Maintain efficient operations across sales, warehousing, stock control, and service.
• Monitor local market activity and industry trends to spot opportunities.
• Uphold health & safety, compliance and best practices.
• Support cross-department collaboration and broader business initiatives.
