Job summary

Ethan James is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Manager to lead the electrical design delivery on major infrastructure projects in Portsmouth. This client-side role covers from inception through to completion, ensuring safe, compliant and practical solutions across the RIBA stages.

The role requires leadership of multidisciplinary teams, strong LV distribution, lighting, CHP, PV and EV systems, and a track record of mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong LV distribution, lighting, small power, CHP, PV and EV systems experience.
• Experience across the full engineering lifecycle.
• Excellent client communication and team leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities, programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop client requirements and deliver detailed design solutions.
• Provide technical advice to clients and review subcontractor designs.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments and quality assurance.

SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN MANAGER

£55k-£65k plus package

An exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced client-side Senior Electrical Design Manager to join a leading engineering team delivering complex infrastructure projects.

You will join an established team and play a key role leading electrical design delivery from inception through to completion, developing safe, compliant and practical solutions across the RIBA design stages.

The role
