Job summary

Burnside Resource Management in Manchester is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our nuclear project team on the Uranium Enrichment program. hybrid role with 2/3 days in the office, usually Tue–Thu, reporting to the project lead engineer. You will deliver safe, practical electrical designs and CAD deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience with design working practices and installation requirements in nuclear or related sectors.
• Proficient in CAD with 3D modelling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LV electrical design and UK legislation/standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, practical and economical designs for clients to a high standard of professional competence and in line with Company procedures.
• Produce drawing office deliverables including SLDs, Cable Schedules, Material Take Offs, BCDs, Schematics, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts.
• Checking of drawings in accordance with Company Procedures.
• Liaising with other disciplines as required.
• 3D modelling in Navis Works, AVEVA E3D, Revit.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing safe, practical and economic designs for clients to a high standard of professional competence and in compliance with Company procedures
• Producing drawing office deliverables including but not limited to SLDs, Cable Schedules, Material Take Offs, BCDs, Schematics, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts
• Checking of drawings in accordance with Company Procedures.
• Liaising with other disciplines as required.
• 3D modelling in Navis Works, AVEVA E3D, Revit etc

Qualifications

• ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent qualification.
• Technical Experience:Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across relevant sector
• >10 years engineering experience in the relevant or similar sectors
• Proficient in CAD. Ideally experienced in 3D modelling
• Knowledge LV electrical design

Knowledge of UK legislation and standards including Nuclear
