Job summary

Burnside Resource Management is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer based in Manchester, on a hybrid pattern (2/3 in office, Tue–Thu). The project covers uranium enrichment within the nuclear sector, reporting to the project lead engineer.

The role requires security clearance or the ability to obtain it, and involves producing detailed electrical design deliverables and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements in the discipline.
• Over 10 years engineering experience in relevant sectors.
• Proficient in CAD; 3D modelling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, practical and economic designs for clients to a high standard.
• Producing drawing office deliverables including SLDs, cable schedules, BCDs, schematics and layouts.
• Checking drawings in accordance with company procedures.
• Liaising with other disciplines as required.
• 3D modelling in Navisworks, AVEVA E3D, Revit etc.

Role details: Senior Electrical Designer reporting to project lead engineer

MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE SECURITY CLEARANCE

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing safe, practical and economic designs for clients to a high standard of professional competence and in compliance with Company procedures
• Producing drawing office deliverables including but not limited to SLDs, Cable Schedules, Material Take Offs, BCDs, Schematics, Equipment and Cable Routing Layouts
• Checking of drawings in accordance with Company Procedures.
• Liaising with other disciplines as required.
• 3D modelling in Navis Works, AVEVA E3D, Revit etc

Qualifications:

• ONC / OND / HNC / HND or equivalent qualification.
• Technical Experience:Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across relevant sector
• >10 years engineering experience in the relevant or similar sectors
• Proficient in CAD. Ideally experienced in 3D modelling
• Knowledge LV electrical design
• Knowledge of UK legislation and standards including Nuclear
