Job summary

Jackson Hogg Limited is partnering with a leading renewables company to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for the Blyth site in the North East of the UK.

The role involves overseeing electrical design, development, installation and commissioning, providing specialist technical support, and delivering asset developments across maintenance, testing and offshore projects while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving for complex engineering issues, processes and projects.
• Provide electrical engineering expertise for design, development and testing activities.
• Manage multiple projects with responsibility for time, quality and cost.
• Maintain project and test records in line with customer and accreditation requirements.
• Support tenders, budgets, customer engagement and supplier management.
• Carry out technical reviews and approvals of reports, drawings and procedures.
• Keep up to date with relevant technologies, standards and engineering best practice.
• Ensure installations and equipment setups meet required standards.
• Mentor and support the development of engineers.
• Present project updates and proposals to stakeholders and clients.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and asset enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO17025 standards.
• Undertake any additional duties required to support organisational objectives.
