Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Milton Keynes to deliver electrical building services across industrial, commercial and residential projects. You will produce calculations, specifications and drawings from concept through to construction, liaising with clients and the wider design team.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven consultancy background with intermediate to senior level experience in electrical design.
• Strong technical grounding across lighting, power, fire alarm, small power and distribution design.
• Comfortable using Amtech, Dialux or similar design software.
• Experience across industrial, commercial or logistics sectors would be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs across a varied project portfolio, with a strong weighting towards large scale industrial and commercial schemes, alongside some residential work.
• Produce calculations, specifications and drawings from concept through to detailed design and construction stages.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and the wider design team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate, depending on seniority.
• Get involved in site visits and surveys as projects progress.
• Work closely with the sustainability team on projects requiring BREEAM input, energy strategies or low carbon design where relevant.
