Job summary

UK Power Networks in Crawley is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to produce high‑quality designs for assets and connections. You will work within Engineering Design - Capital Programme, delivering designs to cost, time and quality targets while ensuring CDM compliance.

The role offers a blended working pattern after six months: three days in the office and two days remote, with a salary of £84,160 plus car and a 3% bonus. Close date is 04/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background with experience in power distribution design.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant design standards.
• Ability to deliver designs to cost, time and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Produce Electrical Designs compliant with standards and CDM.
• Deliver designs conforming to Codes of Practice for substations.
• Collaborate with procurement to develop technical and contractual documents.
• Support and mentor team members to enhance technical knowledge.
