Job summary

Hays Building Services is recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a Bristol-based role within a growing independent consultancy. You will lead building services design projects, mentor juniors, manage client relationships, and contribute to business growth.

The role offers hybrid working and exposure to high-profile projects. You will apply strong technical knowledge of electrical design, stay aligned with Building Regulations, and work with Amtech, Dialux/Relux and AutoCAD/Revit to

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Experience in a Building Services Consultancy environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services design.
Experience using Amtech, Dialux/Relux and AutoCAD/Revit.
Knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Chartered status or progress towards chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Leading electrical building services design projects from concept through to completion.
Producing detailed calculations, specifications and technical reports.
Coordinating designs with mechanical engineers, architects and wider project teams.
Managing client relationships and attending design meetings.
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities for repeat work.
