Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Commercial is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our product development team in Clevedon. You will design, develop and maintain electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new and existing products, working with cross-functional teams to meet technical specs and cost targets.

The role emphasizes hands-on schematics, BOMs and CAD work, with hybrid working options and a competitive salary package including a bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related experience.
• Hands-on experience designing electrical schematics and cable assemblies.
• Experience with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain electrical modules and sub-assemblies for products.
• Create and update electrical schematics, cable assemblies and BOMs.
• Select components to meet design requirements and cost targets.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, quality standards and deadlines.
• Produce engineering documentation including drawings, models, and test data.
• Provide electrical support to other departments as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and process improvements.
• Keep knowledge up to date through training and development.
