Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering team in Hampshire. You will contribute to the design and development of advanced electrical solutions for bespoke, design-to-order projects operating in harsh environments.

The role focuses on defining requirements, developing electrical assemblies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work with peers to apply design-for-manufacture principles and perform verification and validation

• Engineering problem-solving and analytical thinking are essential.
• Strong teamwork and communication within cross-functional teams.
• Good grasp of electrical design principles and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements and technical specifications for electrical assemblies and enclosures.
• Create schematics, wiring layouts, interconnects, and control systems using CAD tools.
• Perform verification, prototype builds, and compliance checks.
• Debug and validate electrical systems across the design lifecycle.
• Coordinate with mechanical, manufacturing, and procurement teams for manufacturability and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation including BOMs and drawings, aligned with UKCA/CE standards.
• Provide SME support to production and engineering teams.
