Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited in Bedfordshire is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who will own electrical and electronic subsystems for defence platforms. Qualifications

• Electrical qualification (HNC/HND or BEng)
• Electrical hardware design for harsh environments
• Derating, stress and tolerance analysis
• Electrical CAD or harness tools (Zuken E3.series, Harnware)
• Low/high power DC systems design
• EMC awareness at product and circuit level
• Def–Stan/MIL standards and safety/quality processes
• Hands-on lab testing and circuit debugging
• Support for assembly, integration and test
• DV clearance or eligibility to obtain it (on-site)

Responsibilities

• Own design from trade study to customer sign-off.
• Perform derating, stress and tolerance analysis; conduct EMC thinking.
• Write documentation: requirements, compliance evidence, test reports.
• Use Zuken, Harnware, Windchill for design delivery.
• Support planning, procurement, material control and change control.
