Job summary

Cundall in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our data centre team. You will deliver high‑quality electrical design solutions and work directly with clients on complex projects.

You do not need prior data centre experience; our DC101 programme provides training, mentoring, and a clear path to senior leadership within a global consultancy. You will collaborate across regional and international offices and contribute to design reviews.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• Chartered status or active progression towards it supported by the DC101 programme.
• Experience in a consulting engineering role and client‑facing projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate electrical design solutions, including schematics and layouts.
• Prepare technical specifications, schedules, calculations and reports.
• Conduct site inspections to inform design development.
• Coordinate detailed electrical designs with other disciplines.
• Lead and develop junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Contribute to project meetings and review design work.
• Collaborate with regional and international offices on multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Proactively resolve design and project challenges.
