Morgan Hunt is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (or Senior) to join the Building Services team, delivering high-quality electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or contractor environment.
• Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and data infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Amtech, Dialux EVO/Relux, Revit MEP, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, BS 7671, CIBSE guidance, and relevant British Standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems for a variety of projects.
• Produce electrical designs for low voltage power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, fire alarms, security systems, and data infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, structural, architectural, and other project disciplines.
• Attend design meetings, client meetings, and site visits as required.
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, BS 7671, CIBSE guidance, and relevant British Standards.
• Assist with project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
• Support senior engineers and contribute to technical discussions and design reviews.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies.
