Job summary

Morgan Hunt is representing a local M&E building services engineering consultancy in Glasgow. The role focuses on the design and specification of Electrical Building Services systems across multiple sectors, with emphasis on power, lighting, and life safety, supported by detailed calculations and client liaison.

Applicants should be degree qualified in Building Services or Electrical Engineering, with experience in AutoCAD and ideally Revit, Dialux and Trimble.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
• Post graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or relevant business.
• Ideally hold a full UK driving licence to enable travel to sites as required.
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD; Revit is ideal.
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Dialux and Trimble.
• Use knowledge of electrical systems to carry out electrical building services design.
• Knowledge of appropriate technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Understanding project briefs and design/specification of Electrical Building Services systems (power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, etc).
• Carry out or manage others in production of detailed calculations using Excel, Dialux, Amtech, and in-house tools.
• Represent the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
• Report and write technical notes; maintain records to company standards.
• Adherence to quality, environmental and governance processes.
