Jacobs in the UK Building Services team is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead delivery on mixed projects across London, Manchester or Birmingham. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure projects meet time, cost and quality targets, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Proven relevant project design experience in building services electrical engineering.
• Degree in Building Services Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech and building regulation compliance assessments.
• MCIBSE / MIET C Eng accreditation (or actively working towards it).
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations.
• Experience in sustainable technology integration.
• Proven project leadership and people management capabilities.
• Excellent technical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional delivery of projects–often multidisciplinary–ensuring they meet scope, time, cost, and quality expectations.
• Mentor staff and contribute to team development, resource planning, and continuous improvement.
• Represent Jacobs in client meetings, help strengthen relationships and contribute to winning future work.
