Job summary

DFS Composites Limited designs and manufactures advanced automation systems for wind, aerospace and composites. The role focuses on developing electrical systems from concept to installation within a multidisciplinary team including control, mechanical engineers and operations.

You will create schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts, specify components, perform load and fault analyses and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, automation or robotics engineering.
• Proven track record in electrical installations from concept to final installation.
• Experience with E‑Plan Electric, Pro Panel and Harness ProD.
• Experience designing complex control panels with LV up to 1000V.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Develop interconnecting looms and circuitry as part of the system.
• Specify electrical components and routing within a mechanical system.
• Prepare load calculations and documentation to comply with CE/BS/UL.
• Provide guidance across project phases and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Review plans and proposals to ensure compliance with electrical standards.
• Coach junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Ensure designs meet health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop test and validation methodology based on DFMEA and specs.
• Perform risk assessments and support commissioning and testing.
