Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited in Warrington is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical and ICA design activities for our Asset Management projects. You will oversee scoping, detailed design, and implementation while ensuring client specifications and current standards are met.

You will mentor junior engineers, guide the project team on EICA matters, and apply British/European standards including WIMES to deliver low-carbon solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status or close to it.
• EICA knowledge of British and European design standards, including Wimes.
• Proven track record as a Senior Electrical Engineer in both design office and construction environments within the water or related process industry.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Carrying out intrusive Electrical and ICA site surveys to identify the most appropriate and yet innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Planning and implementing projects in association with our Delivery Management teams.
• Leading the development of Electrical and ICA design deliverables with assigned team members.
• Coaching junior engineers through proactive 1‑2‑1 sessions to develop future engineering leaders.
• Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team and Senior Management.

You will take a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low‑carbon solutions.
