Role Purpose

To create Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation designs in line with client specifications. To procure and manage any relevant specialist work packages required to meet project requirements.

Requirements

• Full work rights within the UK and eligibility for SC level Security Clearance.
• Design LV electrical distribution systems (HV experience desired but not essential).
• Design of cable containment/support systems.
• Willingness to undergo necessary security clearances (BPSS/SC).
• Experience working in nuclear environments and understanding governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage documentation such as specifications, datasheets, cable calculations, reports, drawings, and change requests.
• Review manufacturer documentation for compliance with project specifications.
• Support technical reviews and develop relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
• Mentor engineers, graduates, and trainees.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory standards.
