Description:

We are hiring for our client, an award-winning and forward-thinking engineering organisation based at our client's site in Camspie, who are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding electrical engineering team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead innovative product development projects as part of a newly formed division, contributing to the delivery of next-generation equipment and systems. This Senior Electrical Design Engineer job is based at the client’s Campsie site and will suit an experienced professional who is passionate about high-quality design, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is looking to make a meaningful impact within a growing and dynamic engineering environment.

The Role:

• Lead the electrical design and documentation processes for a range of technically advanced products

• Design, prototype, and assess electrical components and systems, including 12/24Vdc control systems and relevant network protocols (e.g. CAN bus, Modbus)

• Ensure accuracy and performance across the entire product lifecycle—from concept to production

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on validation, testing, and continuous improvement

• Provide engineering input for manufacturing, procurement, and customer support activities

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to root cause analysis and problem resolution

• Stay current with technical standards and industry developments to drive innovation

The Person:

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, with 4+ years’ experience in a relevant heavy equipment or industrial design environment

• Strong technical background in electrical system design, including control panels (Zuken E3 Series desirable)

• Proficient in PLC software development (e.g.CoDeSys)

• Understanding of applicable standards (EN60204, ISO12100)

• Confident communicator with solid project management and analytical skills

• Able to work independently, travel when required, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
