Job description

NES Fircroft is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a client in the global oilfield services sector, to join their wireline and wellhead equipment department based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

This role requires a strong understanding of both technical and commercial engineering aspects, with a focus on innovation, detail, and collaboration. You will contribute to continual improvement, driving efficiency and performance aligned with our client's business strategy. This is a 2-year contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Innovate, design, and develop customized, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
• Lead and execute design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
• Provide expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and client meetings globally.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience in electrical design (Oil & Gas)
• Proficiency in CAE (FEA, CFD, etc.) tools & engineering documentation
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic/electromechanical systems
• UK right of work
