Job summary

Chronos Energy are partnering with a leading London-based Energy Services company to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. You will take ownership of electrical design and delivery for complex energy infrastructure projects, spanning LV and HV systems, to support net-zero ambitions.

You will lead electrical designs including transformers, CHP, solar PV, heat pumps, standby generation, battery storage and DNO connections, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience designing LV and HV electrical systems in energy, infrastructure, industrial or building services.
• Knowledge of renewable and low-carbon technologies including solar PV, CHP, heat pumps and on-site generation.
• Strong understanding of BS 7671, Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
• Experience with G99/G100 and DNO connection processes.
• Background in decarbonisation or renewable energy projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
• Experience in healthcare, public sector or critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery.
• Producing and reviewing specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and DNOs.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers across project teams.

The chosen candidate will take ownership of the electrical design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects. Working across LV and HV systems, you'll play a key role in developing technically robust, commercially viable solutions that support our clients' net-zero ambitions.

You'll lead the design of electrical systems including transformers, CHP, solar PV, heat pumps, standby generation, battery storage and DNO connections, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to live operational environments.

What You'll Be Doing
