Job summary

Accelerated People Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Manchester to lead low‑carbon electrical designs for Solar PV, Battery Storage, and LV distribution across UK projects.

You will produce designs, calculations and schematics using AutoCAD and PVcase, manage RIBA Stages 2–5, coordinate DNO applications and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with LV systems, Solar PV and Battery Storage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVcase; BIM experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and DNO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design Solar PV, Battery Storage, LV Distribution and other low-carbon electrical systems.
• Producing electrical designs, calculations and schematics using AutoCAD and PVcase.
• Leading electrical design packages across RIBA Stages 2–5 and coordinating DNO applications.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with CEng status advantageous
