Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior CAD Technician (Electrical) to join the Southern Division, with hybrid/flexible working. You’ll lead electrical CAD outputs for UK water projects, coordinating with ICA, Mechanical, Civil and Process teams to ensure buildable, clash-free designs that meet safety and quality standards.

You will drive digital delivery, manage offshore design resources, and mentor junior CAD staff while upholding BIM Level 2 and QA processes across major infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with electrical CAD in multidisciplinary environments.
• Advanced 2D drafting and strong 3D modelling capabilities.
• Solid understanding of BIM processes and QA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical CAD design drawings and models, ensuring quality.
• Prioritise CAD workloads to meet project programmes and milestones.
• Promote best practices in CAD, BIM and digital engineering.
• Coordinate offshore/remote drawing production.
• Ensure designs comply with CDM, standards and procedures.
• Coordinate electrical, ICA, mechanical, civil and process information.
• Resolve technical queries and design clashes.
• Produce and review electrical layouts, schematics and drawings.
• Maintain drawing standards and document control.
