Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer within the Energy unit—Nuclear: Defence and Civil division—to lead electrical design across regulated projects in the UK and Europe. You'll manage design delivery from concept to commissioning, collaborating with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will apply high engineering standards, stay current with regulations, and contribute to energy transition initiatives, while mentoring others and delivering

Qualifications

• Sound engineering knowledge and familiarity with electrical building services design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical building services design solutions for single or multi-discipline projects.
• Produce design documents, basis of designs, technical specifications, and procurement specs.
• Develop project layouts, cable diagrams, and single-line schematics; perform design calculations.
• Support bid estimates and monitor design phase against programme and cost targets.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards across CDM, Building Regulations, and sustainability targets.
• Conduct site surveys to assess existing installations and scope upgrades.
