Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead building services design across sectors within the Buildings Unit. You will drive electrical design from concept through delivery, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

The role requires technical excellence, mentoring of graduates, and effective client communication. A hybrid working policy supports flexibility across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.
• Lead on Electrical services and some multi-disciplinary projects.
• Be enthusiastic and ambitious with a strong teamwork ethic.
• Possess excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of electrical elements of multi-disciplinary projects across sectors.
• Design and specification output drawings, calculations, specifications.
• Collaborating with associated engineering disciplines to deliver projects.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Carrying out design and calculation work using industry software (Amtech, IES, Relux, Revit).
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Developing and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting deliverables.
• Maximising profitability and monitoring budgets, communicating with clients.
