Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead electrical design across multi-site UK projects in a highly regulated sector. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, compliant solutions, from concept through construction and commissioning.

The role requires strong technical expertise, client liaison skills, and the ability to drive design quality while managing cost and schedule. A Chartered status or progress toward it is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of electrical building services design principles and processes.
• Initiative, proactive and self-motivated with decision-making confidence.
• Effective communication with clients and team members.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and standards.
• Experience using Dialux, Relux, Trimble MEP (Amtech Power) and AutoCAD.
• BIM knowledge and 3D design experience is beneficial.
• Degree in Building Services (Electrical Biased) or Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or pursuing professional registration.
• Nuclear experience is not required but beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design for multiple projects.
• Produce and review design documents, specifications and surveys.
• Create layout drawings, single-line diagrams and calculations.
• Support cost estimates and programme development.
• Monitor design phase activities to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
