Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge across EL/PL and Casualty claims.
• Experience handling complex and high-value personal injury claims.
• Understanding of policy coverage, wordings and terms.
• Knowledge of UK insurance market and liability claims environment.
• Experience with claims reserving principles.
• Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and Claims Portal.
• Ability to manage caseload from initial notification through to settlement.
• Experience within client SLAs and regulatory deadlines.
• Insurance/claims or legal background.

Responsibilities

• Establish policy coverage and indemnity.
• Record and maintain claims data in the system.
• Investigate liability claims via desk-based review.
• Assess evidence and decide on liability.
• Negotiate settlements and manage claims to resolution.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, SLAs and procedures.
• Build relationships with insurers, brokers, solicitors.
• Apply policy wordings to coverage and liability.
• Value personal injury claims and set reserves.
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues.
• Contribute to improving claims-handling standards.
